I want to share some more from Japan tonight. These were taking with the 28mm lens. This is a great lens because you really have to get close to the person. You really have to get into their personal space and almost be part of their life for that split moment. Especially if it is a candid photo.
I usually shoot with the 50mm lens where you can stand a little further away. But with this wider angle you can really get more information other than the subject. Here are a few examples.
On this last one, I had to get in the way of the man and take the picture. He really didn’t seem too bothered about it. Which gives me confidence to keep shooting like that.
All in all, like I have said before. Japan was my favorite place to shoot, and to develop my style because the language barrier. Because of that language barrier I could give them my best broken Japanese to ask for forgiveness or permission.
Next, I will be showing some more pictures from Washington. Maybe I will post them tonight as well.
